I once thought that I was busy in my last position at work. I don't know what I was thinking... Currently I have mounds of folders on my desk, and some that are starting to be pushed to the floor area. I might know what each pile means, but I have no idea what I am supposed to do with each pile. In other words, I don't know how to fix the problems.
My Manager has deemed as the "Accounting Fixer-upper" even though I told him the only reason that I passed Accounting in High School is because the girl sitting next to me passed it. He thought I was joking! I am mom... er... I would never cheat in High School... ever again.
Being a supervisor is overrated, especially at this place. Everyone in Management over here is from Exel. For those of you that don't know, Exel got bought out by DHL. So now both the Brokerage Dept and the Air Import Dept are running off of different systems, we have new work procedures, but the same personnel, and managers as we had in Exel. I really don't know how to put into words how screwed up it is over here.
I forgot to mention that I know how to work the brokerage department (well with the Exel system) but I haven't been in Air Imports in several years. I thought I might get some sort of training.... I mean, I do work for a new company... it's almost comical now that I think about it... training. HA!
Of course I am just using this as my chance to vent. No sympathy is required. I just wanted to vent.

Life is full of piles...piles and piles of laundry, dirty dishes, toys, books, junk mail, leaves, dirt....some piles are better than others. You kids thought the dirt pile was great. I did too, except my spoons and tupperware kept disappearing. And there was always a dirty ring around the tub when you kids got done with your baths. Good memories.
At least you get paid. I work twenty four hours a day, get beat up from the inside out, and don't get a freakin dime. But, I do get kisses and hugs, so I guess that counts for something... ;)
Piles of folders are better than piles of poop. And folders smell better than poop, too. I tell you, Emily's diaper smells like she's smuggling trash. So look on the bright side, you have folders that aren't poop and they don't smell like trash.
One of my coworkers has been cleaning out the storage room. I commented on how clean it was looking. He got quiet and whispered, "yeah, but have you seen the other storage room?" I got excited because I thought he had cleaned that out too. Nope. He's a pile pusher. lol...everything is just moved from one pile in one room to a pile in another room. Just think of it this way, piles are job security. :o)
