I moved from a 2 bedroom crappy kitchen apt in Arlington to a one bedroom slightly less crappy kitchen apt in Bedford. Why would I subject myself to yet another move on my list? To get out of debt of course. It is difficult to actually save money while moving as you seem to burn a lot of fuel, eat out all the time and pay movers. Granted, I could have used the Elders Quarm from church, but since I don't go to church I thought that would be fairly cruel to ask. Plus I wanted movers to move me, as the last time I had Elders help me out, they dropped a dresser down a flight of stairs. Those idiots. I said "Oh don't worry, that only used to belong to my grandmother." Yes I am cruel. This time I was able to use movers from moveforfree.com. Low and behold they were free and good!
The day of the move, 2 little Mexicans showed up. I've got a 52 inch TV, so I was a little worried. Luckily they had all the right equipment for moving all of my crap. They would take a load out to the moving truck (it had a lift gate) and then literally run back to my apt to grab something else. I was amazed. Then what truly amazed me is when they were moving the TV into the new apt. I am now located on the 2 nd floor. They picked up the thing and walked it right up the stairs and into the front door. Almost like it was nothing. I tipped 'em good.
By the end of the day I was pretty stinky and wanted a shower. Now where did I pack clean clothes? I had to tear apart 2 boxes and a suit case in order to find stuff. I made a mess. I did take a picture, but can't upload it currently.
I situated all my furniture and unloaded most of my crap. I still don't have internet at my place, and am trying to decide if I want it. Sadly it is a need. I need to update this blog at least once every two weeks, and I need to be able to work from home. sigh...
Looking forward to folks coming over to see the pad.

My journal
Well this is the week that I "get" to pack and go through all of my crap. I've got a lot of crap. I've found bills left over from Georgia... they are all paid... I just need to shred 'em. I have come across various journals, papers, books, etc. Coming across the journals has allowed me to slow my progress and sit and read. I hate cleaning and organizing.
I came across an entry when I was 16. I wrote something along the lines of : "Now that I am older, Dad and I are able to actually do things together. It has been a lot of fun as we have come to know each other better." I've always thought that Dad and I were close, but when I started to think about it, we didn't really bond till he was done with School and we started having the same interests. Interests like video games. Laugh if you will, but I remember dad asking me "Hey Jason, can you load that Doom game on the computer for me?" or "Where is your Nintendo? I want to play Tetris." I was the kid in school with the dad that was cool. He would play video games with us.
Mom and I were close during that time as well. She was usually home when I came home from school with my lunch. I would usually go to the Snack Shack and pick up a Bacon Cheese Burger. Mmmmm it was always so good. The brown paper sack was almost see through by the time I would make it home. Once, when I brought a friend over to the house, mom took a bite out of my burger. In mid chew I said " Mom that was Karl's" I thought she was about to spit it out. Of course it was my burger... but it was funny.
I've decided not to read my journal anymore during this move. I need to pack. I also need to disconnect my tv. Granted I am writing this at Rob and Chrissy's.... It is a mess at my place... and um... I had to procrastinate more. Emily is a good distraction. She sure is cute! and a flirt!
